How to Register or Edit a Polygon

In this guide, you will learn how to register a new polygon or edit an existing one from the abunda application. Polygons allow you to visually delimit productive spaces (plots) on the map, to accurately represent their location and shape.

Access the Plot Map

To register or edit a polygon, you must first access the corresponding plot. You can only work with polygons from a specific plot.
Follow these steps:
  1. Open the hamburger menu (≡ in the upper left corner).
  2. Select the plot where you want to register or edit a polygon.
  3. Once inside the plot, tap the map symbol in the bottom menu.
This will take you to the screen where you can view and work with polygons.

Available Options in Edit Mode

Once on the map screen, enter edit mode (✏️). From here, you can create or modify polygons using the following tools:


✏️ Draw Manually
  • Tap on the map to add points and form the polygon
  • Each point automatically connects to the previous one
↶ / ↷ Undo / Redo
  • You can undo or redo previous actions on the polygon
🗑 Delete All
  • Deletes the entire registered polygon. If you delete it by mistake, you can use the "back" button to recover it

Register a Polygon by Walking

You can also create a polygon by walking around the edges of the plot:

🚶 Start Recording
  • Press the record button to start registering the polygon while walking
⏸ Pause Recording
  • You can pause if you need to deviate. Then you can resume from the same point
📍 Add Current Point
  • Adds your current location as a new point of the polygon
💾 Save Polygon
  • Press the disk icon to save the polygon when finished

Move Points with Your Finger

Once the polygon is registered, you can directly adjust its shape:
  • Press and hold a point to move it with your finger and drop it in another position
  • This allows you to easily improve accuracy

Useful Tips

  • Make sure you have a good GPS signal when recording by walking
  • You can combine both methods: walk part of the polygon and then adjust it manually
